ADVENTURE
WORLD'S AWESOME ADVENTURE PACKAGE
We have started a "Three Day Adventure Tour"
which includes 7 activities over 2 nights and 3 days, including
Wakeboarding, Sandboarding, Shark Cage Diving, Brewery Tour, River
Cruise, Surfing and Wine Tasting.
All
activities with the exception of Shark Cage Diving (optional at
R 850) are included in the price as is all transport, accommodation,
refreshments and three meals a day.
Price per person: R 3250
Trips depart:
every Tuesday (Weekend departures also available for group bookings)
3 days,
7 activities, on a route that only the locals know! See Cape Town
and its surrounding areas from a locals perspective, visiting some
of
the best kept secrets and doing some of the craziest activities.
The
tour covers three days and two nights and includes absolutely everything
- all activities (except optional Shark Cage Diving), accommodation,
food and transport.
We
follow a route along the south east coast heading up towards the
garden route. We will spend a night in Hermanus, a beautiful little
town, world
famous for its whale watching, as well as a night in Stanford, a
little known town that is stuck in a time warp - no traffic lights
or shopping centres
but with its very own brewery!
ITINERARY
Day
1:
AM:
Wake Boarding
We start the day at Blue Lagoon Cable Ski Waterpark for a morning
of wakeboarding. An overhead cable takes you around the lake and
there is
something here for all skill levels - perfect for first time wakeboarders
as well as jumps for advanced riders.
We spend the morning at this great spot and after lunch we take
a short drive to the spectacular dunes at Betty's Bay
PM:
Sandboarding
The
dunes at Betty's Bay are massive and situated right on the coast
with runs of up to 700ft in length. We have a range of boards and
spend the afternoon learning the basics of sandboard ing.
This sport is very similar to snowboarding and you are able to carve
down the slopes at speeds of up to 50kph.
A
half hour drive takes us to the picturesque beachside town of Hermanus.
OVERNIGHT:
Hermanus
Hermanus
is world famous for its land based whale watching as hundreds of
Southern Right Whales come to the bay to give birth around September.
We will spend the night in the Hermanus Backpackers and explore
the night life after dinner.
Day
2:
AM:
Shark Cage Diving
In
the morning we head to the fishing village of Gaansbaai, famous
for its Great White Shark Cage
Diving. Here we will jump on a boat and head
out to "Shark Alley" where you will get a chance to dive
in a cage and meet a Great White Shark face to face!
PM:
Brewery Tour & River Cruise
After
lunch at Gaansbaai we drive through to Stanford and visit the Birkenhead
Brewery - the first Brewing Estate in the Southern Hemisphere,
Here we taste their various beers and see how the whole brewing
process takes place.
After the Brewery tour we will head to our Lodge, drop our stuff
and head out for a sunset cruise on the river boat.
OVERNIGHT:
Stanford
Stanford
is a tiny undiscovered town, with no shopping com plex's
or even traffic lights.
We will be spending
the night in the luxurious Hadeda's Lodge situated just of the river.
We will have a traditional South African braai (barbeque) on the
deck before wandering in to town to check out the only Pub.
Day
3:
AM:
Surfing
After
breakfast on the deck we jump in the van and head back along the
dramatic False Bay coast to Muizenberg for our Surfing. We will
spend the morning learning the basics of surfing and after lunch
on the beach we head 10 minutes down the road to the Constantia
Valley wine farms.
PM:
Wine Tasting
There
are five award winning farms situated in the Constantia Valley and
we will work our way from farm to farm tasting fine wines and will
also go on a cellar tour to see exactly how the wine is made and
to learn more about the process of fermentation.
That
brings us to the end of the 3 Day Adventure Extravaganza!!
Remember that ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING is provided
- all food (three meals a day), refreshments, all equipment and
transport and entrance fees to all activities with the exception
of Shark Cage Diving (R850).
